Easy Egg Snowman

Egg Snowman Appetizer Recipe

egg snowman
I ran across these adorable egg snowman on the web here and fell in love.  It looked simple enough and I decided to tackle this on. Just takes some getting used to.

These would look so lovely to serve to your guests at your Christmas party. The kids will certainly love it.  It’s definitely something they can help with. There’s minimal cooking and mess. I can’t complain about that.

I even think you could make a few tweaks to it and make Olaf from Frozen! Needs a goofier face somehow. Every little girls dream.

Ingredients:

  • 5 large hard-boiled eggs
  • 5 small hard-boiled eggs (I used quail eggs)
  • 1 small carrot
  • Peppercorns
  • uncooked pasta (Spaghetti or Capellini)
  • 1 skewer
  • Cilantro (parsley works too)

Egg Snowman Directions:

  • Peel eggs and cut both ends (top & bottom), try to make them as straight as possible. I had some trouble with this at first but it worked out.
  • Cut carrots in two sizes to make the hat and a pointy nose.
  • Grab the skewer and run it through the eggs and carrots to insert the pasta easier.
  • Connect the two egg parts, large at the bottom and smaller on top. Add the hat and break off the remaining pasta.
  • With the skewer poke holes for the peppercorns (Eyes & coat buttons) and carrot (nose). Easier said than done, they are tricky to keep in place so have some patience.
  • Insert cilantro leaves for the arms and DONE! Place your egg snowman in a cute platter and serve cold.

Remember to refrigerate your Egg Snowman prior to serving.

I hope you all enjoyed this and get some done for your Christmas parties.

Merry Christmas!
