Handmade Valentine’s Day Card

Sharing with you how to make this beautiful Handmade Valentine’s Day Card with the cutest Hot Air Balloon.

With Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, we got creative around here and made this beautiful Valentine’s Day Card.

I take such pleasure in creating handmade things to gift to loved ones, handmade is always more appreciated. It’s all about the time someone takes to think of special ways of gift giving.

This craft was especially fun to make with my kiddo plus it’s perfect for practicing those fine motor skills with all the cutting!

This handmade card is really simple to create!

I’ve made it even simpler by providing you with a template you can use as a stencil or cut them out in black and white! Up to you, kids can also color them in if you’d like.

There’s also a quick How-to video with step-by-step instructions for this handmade valentine’s day card on my Instagram Page or you can watch below.

Let’s get this project started!

For this Hot air balloon Card you’ll need:

  • Colored Construction or Card stock paper
  • Glue Sticks
  • Scissors
  • String (I used jute, butcher’s twine or baker’s twine works perfectly as well)
  • Printer
  • Marker
  • Pencil for stenciling

I have everything mapped out for in my template – download the PDF and cut out each shape, use as-is or as a stencil on cardstock/construction paper of choice.

That’s it!

Gift it to your sweetie but of course, this doesn’t have to be strictly a Valentine’s Card.

Hope you found this handmade Valentine’s Day card easy to follow, let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.

xo,
Ellen
