Starting a Bullet Journal

If you’re Starting a Bullet Journal or wondering what a Bullet Journal is I’ll make you just as obsessed in a few moments, just keep reading.
I own lots of journals and I write my to-do lists daily. I plan our budget, upcoming bills on any journal I find laying around. It gets a bit chaotic when it’s time to find the One thing I’m looking for. So the other day while browsing the internet I came across the “Bullet Journal” or BuJo for short.
The concept was originally created by Ryder Carroll, a very simplistic way of keeping everything in your life organized in one little notebook. It has now evolved to a lot more. Monthly trackers, goal setters, tasks, lists, motivation, doodling. You can do whatever you want with it. It’s your notebook. But if you’re just starting out and want to keep it simple, you should follow the original layout. So what is a bullet journal? Just watch the video below by the Ryder Carroll.
After getting comfortable with that, if you feel you can branch out to a more stylistic journal, go right ahead. There are some pretty great bloggers to follow. Boho Berry (She’s no longer active) is by far my favorite. I believe her videos are still up on Youtube but there are lots of of other Bullet Journal creators you can follow for inspiration.
Watch the video and you’ll see what I mean. She’s just so awesome! You can also search the hashtag #bulletjournal on Instagram to find lots of inspiration.
Now the hard work is identifying the essentials: you’ll need to create your own journal, it might take a few months, maybe even a few notebooks to adapt this system to my way of living but I’m happy I found this and I can’t wait to share my progress with you all.
Want to get Started? Here’s what you’ll need.
All you need is a book and a pen.
If you want to get all fancy schmancy you can purchase a dotted book and some nice pens like this and this or fountain pens (a favorite of Bullet Journal users that I’ve seen so far is from the Goulet Pen Company), which are super duper fancy. I’m not there yet but I am fascinated with calligraphy. So I do see it happening in the very near future.
I’m almost done creating all of the different spreads I liked from Boho Berry(She’s no longer active) and I can’t wait for April to start to really get things going.
Thanks for Reading, Stay tuned for more.

I found things like this on pinterest. was obsessed with the idea, sat down to try it… too lazy. Bought a planner lol! it was a nice thought.
I'm obsessed with planning and journaling. LOVE the Bullet journal idea! <3
This is definitely an interesting idea. I'm going to have to do some research to see of it will work for me!
I was just talking to someone the other day about bullet journaling! I do something similar using Evernote, but I like the idea of having a written record to get look at later to see what I did that year. And I've seen Bohoberry's — gorgeous!
I was looking for something creative to do outside of the blog (I wrote a comment on your blog about it, great post by the way) well, I think I’ve found something that interests me just enough and is productive to my life. win-win
