I’ve never been too elaborate with my Halloween costumes that is until I became a mom. Sharing my DIY Evil Queen costume with you all!
I gotta say I’m quite proud of the way it turned out! It was so much fun to put this Halloween costume together.
There’s also a tutorial on how to make the Evil Queen Crown out of one sheet of paper here.

What you’ll need to put together this Evil Queen Costume:
- A cape or in my case I used a long and lacey beach cover-up!
- Spanx Leggings
- Elastic Band Corset
- Turtleneck (Linked to various colors if you’d like to do purple instead of black)
- Booties
- Paper Crown
- Face Paint
- Real or Fake Apple
- Your most sinister look 🙂

If you’d like you could substitute the turtleneck and leggins for a long black dress, but I thought this would be easier to walk around trick or treating with the kiddo!
Everyone loved the evil witch costume, and painting it on my face was quite simple to do with the face paint I linked above.
Let me know if you enjoyed this DIY Halloween Costumes for Women and if you recreate it! I would love to see the finished look. This works great for cosplay as well.
Thanks for stopping in!
XO,
Ellen
