
Easy Paper Crown Tutorial using one sheet of paper
Looking for a quick and fun craft that kids (or adults) will love? This easy paper crown tutorial takes just minutes and uses a single sheet of paper! Perfect for birthdays, pretend play, classroom crafts, and costume parties.
I needed an easy paper crown to pull in my final look for my costume for Halloween.
They say necessity is the mother of invention, and with items I had around my home I created the perfect costume accessory.

Upon scouring YouTube for an easy tutorial on making paper crowns, I didn’t find anything easy online so I made my own.
It seriously is the easiest thing you can make, I created video for it as well to help you along!

Items you’ll need to make this paper crown out of one sheet of paper:
Keep in mind, I did have this beautiful gold paper at home, but this can be made with any paper.
White printer paper or construction paper would also work perfectly!
You can have kids color it in if being used as a craft for kids.
Items needed for DIY Paper Crown
- Gold Paper or paper color of choice
- Scissors
- Glue Sticks or Glue Gun
- Pen/Marker/Pencil
Steps to Make the Paper Crown:
- Fold the paper lengthwise
- Draw your crown pattern
- Cut along the lines
- Connect the ends with glue
- Decorate as desired

Making my Halloween Costume come together with this paper crown was super simple, but you don’t have to limit yourself to costumes.
Other uses for a paper crown:
This crown would be perfect for kids parties, or just for pretend at-home play.
If you want to go up a notch, you can even embellish this paper crown with rhinestones or cotton balls just to give you an idea.
It would be a perfect activity to do with kids on a rainy day or indoor play.
