Hey Guys! You know how much I love to do giveaways, so when Smile Brilliant reached out to me about working with them I was so excited. My teeth have always been naturally a lighter shade, we all have different shades of teeth but I was “blessed” according to today’s standard of teeth whiteness.
However, I have occasionally whitened my teeth. As a daily coffee drinker, sometimes I feel my teeth are staining and let’s not talk about the wine I drink at night. I even made the switch to white wine, but I could not give up my black coffee. You’d be surprised at how much white my teeth got.
Growing up in Brazilian home, coffee is part of our culture, kids drink it but usually with milk – what we call “café com leite” but even then I would never add milk to my coffee and it’s still the same today.
So what is Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening?
Smile Brilliant is an at-home teeth whitening company and will send you this nifty box with all you need to make molds of your teeth. It’s a pretty cool process too. You’ll mix the catalysts & base together and quickly place in the tray provided and insert into your mouth. Make sure to not chomp on it hard. (Read about the benefits of Custom Fitted Trays)
You’ll then do the same with the bottom. Once finished, all you need to do is send it back to their lab and wait for your custom molds to arrive.
Once you have your molds, you may begin whitening. It’s recommended you do it at night a couple of hours before bedtime. If you have sensitive teeth like I do, you’ll have to use the desensitizing gel included in your kit.
Pros:

- You can’t eat or drink your feelings at night.
Cons:
- You can’t eat or drink your feelings at night. I think this was my biggest problem with it. I have anxiety especially before bed and depriving myself of drinking or eating was a bigger effort than I thought but I pulled through.
- Sensitivity, as I mentioned before, my teeth are highly sensitive and I had to skip a couple of days to give my teeth/gums a bit of a rest.
