I am terribly clumsy with making new friends. I moved to a new city a year ago and I still don’t know many people. Making friends was so much easier when we were kids. You would just walk to a kid, start to play and there you go… a new friend!

I moved here a month before my friend did, and had two friends from high school, but it took a long time before I really made friends here. (It didn’t help that I had a very untraditional work schedule that first year!) Good luck as you settle into your new home, and hope you meet some people soon. Also, in addition to Brittany’s great suggestion about checking on Facebook, have you looked into Meetup.com? I know at least where I live they have mom groups.
