Lose That Baby Weight Mom! Join us!

Now that all the parties are over and done with (I keep saying that!) and I’m breathing easier I’m able to focus on myself. At least for a few minutes. Come on, I’m still a mother after all!

I’ve started a little group for moms on Facebook and have been doing exercises along with them. Everyone knows that when you have others with the same goal, cheering you on you go farther!

So with the help of these lovely ladies, we are doing one of the Blogilates programs, which I’ll post below.  Would love to have you join us!  We are now on Day 3, but it doesn’t matter when you start as long as you do start.

After my c-section, if I did any exercises it was mostly for my glutes and legs. My abs are really weak and instead of trying to get them stronger I opted for other workouts.  It really is rough when your core is weak, you can’t hold yourself up.  Having a c-section is no joke, and I do not recommend it if it’s something you can opt out of.  I wrote a post about my birth story here, give it a read.

My focus is really to strengthen my core and so far it has worked. Day 3 of the workout schedule and I already feel stronger, able to complete fully most exercises.  Some, I still need more strength in order to do them correctly.  But I’m hanging in there and hope you’ll join me and the other mama’s.

Let’s make this year, a year to remember and forget our weaker selves.

Here’s the workout schedule:

Are you joining us? Let me know in the comments below.  Got some tips to stick to a program? Leave those too!

Stay in Your Pajamas, It’s Okay.

Maybe you’re a wake up in the morning, shower, shave, put on make up, coffee and off you go kinda mom.

But I AM NOT! A good day is when I actually get out of my pajamas and have underwear on.

Sometimes this happens early on, and sometimes it’s around 2 pm. If that. I mean, why change? It’s the same every day.

Out of that first phrase the only constant is the COFFEE.

Are you with me?
Who needs pants anyways? or underwear for that matter.

I don’t have it all together and if you do you’re lying to yourself or you’re about to break down with all of the things you are trying to accomplish or maybe you are a superhero and you can’t tell anyone.

Mom, it’s okay.. Chill out! Stay in your PJ’s, leave that laundry basket (which BTW, the clothes I neatly folded last night and put in the basket, my son casually walked up to it and turned it all upside down. You bet your ass I just picked it up and just put it all back in however way it fell out.) And that’s alright too.

There isn’t a laundry police. Is there? I hope not.

I’m feeling all kinds of funny today, maybe it’s because my child decided he didn’t want to nap yesterday at his regularly scheduled time and went to sleep around 1 pm instead of 9:30/10 am, which drove me bananas. I finally woke him up around 3:50 pm or else this kid was never gonna fall asleep at bedtime. WHICH HE DIDN’T.

He went to bed around 9:50 PM //  Big NO-NO.

To add to the loveliness of his new schedule, he decides 6 AM is a great time to be up and running. So forgive me if I’m not exactly Mrs. Happiness. I sound a little distraught no? Well, this was how my Monday & Tuesday morning was.

Thankfully last night, he went to bed at a decent time. I went to bed at a decent time and he woke up at his normal 7ish AM. You can’t begin to understand how great it feels to have normal, predictable sleeping patterns.

How about you? Has your days been crazy? What do you do to keep sane? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy 2015?

Hi Everyone!

I have not left you.  But I am so relieved to have taken a little break and will now be resuming my regularly scheduled posts. But just not yet.

I’ve been in party mode since November and I need a much needed time out to clean house.

Everything is pretty much out of place in my house and I can’t stand it. So I’m going to tackle on big house projects over the next few weeks.

As some of you know my little guy turned one just yesterday! and we had such a great party for him. I’ll put some posts up about it. There was a lot of DIY, so there might be some crafting posts coming soon. Hopefully sooner than later.

I’m so grateful to have been able to be a stay at home mom for a year now and see all of his growth first hand.

I know it must be really tough for those working moms having to miss some of these steps.  You have my sentiments mama.

Now that he is one, my brain has been working really hard. Thinking of what’s coming next for me, for him and for my family.  What examples I want to set for him. Now the really tough, get your butt in gear part comes along and it’s really frightening. But it’s exciting nonetheless.

I hope you’ll stick around and follow along.  My plans for the coming year are still being put into place and look forward to sharing lots of great progress with all of you.

Hope everyone has been having a great year so far. Mine will technically start today.
