Hi Molly, thanks for chiming in... I love like-minded mama's! It's so refreshing to know I'm not alone. I can't stress enough for great it is for a baby to have a routine, and I'm thankful for being able to listen to my child and be able to provide that for him. I'm glad your little one is the same. She has a great mama for sure!!!!

I just stumbled upon your blog while doing some searches on Baby Led Weaning. I have a 7 month (from what I can gather, she is about a week or two younger than your son!) and you and I are in the same boat…she is a girl who loves a schedule (like her mama I'll admit!). Bedtime is 7:30. If she's tired at 7 we'll put her to bed at 7, if 7:30 rolls around and she's ready to party, we'll let her hang out until 8, but that's the max. I don't know how people keep their babies up later than that, I've often thought the same thing! She's also about the same when it comes to naps, her longest is in the morning (10-12 roughly), she'll grab a quick afternoon nap and we like to let her have a cat nap around 4:30 if possible, but bedtime is bedtime. We dine out on the early bird special these days so we can make it home by 7:00 at the latest 🙂 It is what it is, but I'm happy that she is on a schedule and that she sleeps through the night! One last comment, I can't believe how many similar stories we share, from the bedtime routine to the BLW and the breastfeeding struggles, it's always nice to hear someone else's stories!!
