Simple Mother’s Day Celebration Ideas

Celebrating Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be hard work, complicated, expensive or with filled with activities that only tire us out more. I’m not aware of anything more fulfilling and exhausting than being a mom and with every little glimpse of happiness comes the burden of carrying for someone that depends fully on you.

The realization that we’re not perfect moms and that we will fail our children is enough some sleep over but we usually snap out of it and accept that failing doesn’t mean FAILURE, it means we’re trying.

So it’s our day and I salute every one of you, for the little people you are raising to be contributing members of society, I’m glad I’m doing motherhood with you.

Although nothing really changes on Mother’s Day, we get some extra love sent our way and that’s always a good thing in my book.

  1. These are some wonderful ideas… I think today… I will be taking a family walk with my kids and than settling in to take a hot candlelight bubble bath… watch some Disney movies and call it the night… Happy Mother’s Day!

  2. Ellen, you are SO right that it’s not about the money spent or the extravagance of the gesture. All I wanted for Mother’s Day was a heartfelt gesture, and that’s exactly what I got! Money can’t buy happiness. Happy Mother’s Day!! ❤️

  3. So true! I was lucky enough yesterday that my husband brought me out for breakfast and took care of the baby most of the day. It was so nice and refreshing to have a little break. 🙂
