HOW TO MAKE A PURCHASE:

Then you are in, choose the retailer you are looking for… In my case I needed to buy a couple of beauty products at Sephora.  I’ve had buying a Contour kit on my to-do list all week so this gave me the extra push I needed to buy. Extra bonus: I got to cross off a task  off my Bullet Journal. But you can shop at diapers.com, Target, BH Cosmetics or JC Penney. With over 1,600 retailers to choose from you will find somewhere you can shop from, earn Cash Back and donate to a worthy cause.

I typed in Sephora in the search bar and the following screen popped up. If you choose shop now you will get redirected to the store you chose without looking at the coupon codes.

CHOOSE YOUR COUPON:

I clicked on close and chose a coupon deal that was good for me. In my case, it was a Free Mystery gift with a purchase of $25 or more. I copied my coupon code “YOURGIFT” and clicked on visit Sephora and shopped for the item I needed.

Top 4 Favorite YouTube Channels for Fitness at Home

working out with toddlers , fitness videos

Hey Lovelies♥

With summer just around the corner I’ve stepped up my work out game. I was never a gym person or a workout person in general but I was always active and remained stick thin until I reached my mid 20’s. I would eat any and everything I wanted. Yea… I hate me too. But that is DEFINITELY not the case today. Whatever food I think of already adds calories to my body, especially my inner & outer thighs and mid-section. I’m sure I’m not alone in this! After baby, things aren’t the same. Unless you’re a supermodel, then you don’t count.

My 33rd birthday is coming up in a few short weeks and I’m determined to shed 8 pounds till then. I have however already lost 3 of those pounds, so I need 5 more pounds to reach my goal for my birthday. I’ve always liked reading about different workouts even when I never even worked out. I used to subscribe to Shape Magazine long long ago. I have no idea what for because I really just read it. But when I do workout today (which isn’t very often) I do have some go to workouts from memory because of it. Thanks Shape Magazine.

Today I’ll share with you my Top 4 Go-to YouTube Channels for a complete at home work out.

1. FITNESS BLENDER

This one is my absolute favorite, they have over 3 million subscribers on YouTube. They are a husband and wife duo and have so many different workout videos, I love working out with Kelli. She wasn’t always the fit woman she is today, she has struggled with weight and eating disorders. If you browse their video uploads you will find a workout you can do and choose the intensity depending on the day.

Their workouts are very well put together and easy to follow along. This channel is for any and all fitness levels, if you are looking for an advanced workout they have plenty to choose from. When I want to intensify my workouts I choose one of their HIIT workouts. Some of their videos also include a warm-up and cool-down, which I like so I don’t have to go digging for one.

2. BLOGILATES

Cassey has some great Pilates exercise and at a lot of targeted areas workouts. Her Pilates for beginners videos are how I started getting into Pilates. They are also easy to follow and she has a super bubbly personality. She talks throughout her videos pushing you to work harder with positive affirmations. However I don’t watch her dietary recommendations videos.

3. XHIT DAILY

Xhit hasn’t posted a video in a few months, what gives? But they do have some great videos if you want to get a quick workout in. I do these sometimes when I don’t want to feel guilty I haven’t worked out. Hey, at least I moved for a little bit.

4. YOGA WITH ADRIANE

Last but not least, Adriane posts frequently and when I don’t feel like jumping up and down or moving too much I choose one of her yoga videos. She also has some great beginners video (which are the ones I use) I’m definitely not a yogi but doing yoga makes me feel good and more centered.

Mommy Tip: Some might not be okay with this but the way I found I could exercise while my son is up and not try to jump on me while I’m working out is to hand him an iPad and let him go crazy until I am finished. Might not be an option for you but I’ve found this works best for me.

I love finding new easy exercise routines to follow, and I hope that you get to check some of these channels out and choose one or a few that is just right for you.

An Open Letter to Target and Their Inclusivity

Dear Target,

WOW!

Just wow! We all know we as mothers love shopping at Target. Target is well aware of this and now they just posted about this post something that is just chilling to me and to most. Continuing to Stand for Inclusivity is what they call it, I call it bull.

Basically, what they are saying is… if you identify as female although being born a man, you can use the women’s bathroom and vice versa.  Now, that is just opening a can of worms in my opinion and I see a drastic drop in shoppers.  I’m not aware of the amount of transgendered folks but I think it’s safe to say most people stick with what they are born with.

I don’t know about you but I do not want a man in the women’s bathroom, even if he wants to be one or identifies as one. Did they not think about that? It’s not like we can card people to make sure they aren’t sexual offenders. You are transgendered? Awesome for you. It’s great that you were able to come to terms with you are.

My problem isn’t with you or what you identify as. My problem is with the psychos that will take advantage of this and choose a bathroom not in their gender with bad intentions.

The repercussions of this could be disastrous. I imagined child molesters and perverts are elated with this news. If you try to stop a man from entering a woman’s bathroom, that will be considered harassment from now on. Who’s to stop a predator from walking into the opposite gender’s bathroom? Who thought this was a good idea?

It’s not discrimination to separate genders, it’s for protection. Protection of our children. It’s for privacy. You don’t disregard children’s safety because of grown people. Target’s sentiment is nice, yes let’s not discriminate people, and I am all for that. You can do whatever you want. It’s your life. If you want to be a unicorn you have the right to be one, but not when it infringes on my safety. This is what this does.

From now on I’m boycotting Target, this is beyond ridiculous and you are putting lives in danger. You want people to feel included? Then have a unisex bathroom that can be locked. Leave the men and women’s bathrooms alone. You want people to feel included so badly than cough up the dough to build different bathrooms with locks in them that are separate.

What do you think of this? Are you for it? Or Boycotting? Let me know in the comments below.

Au Revoir Target!

If you haven’t read Target’s post you can find it here.

5 Sure Fire Ways to get More Organized Now

ways to organize your home life organizatin tips

Hey Lovelies ♥ Happy Monday! I’ve been on a mission to get things done and organized. With Spring Cleaning happening in most homes right now I thought I would write about what changes I’m making to my daily life and hopefully it will help you as well.

I had a set bedtime of 10:00 p.m. every night because I just needed to sleep after becoming a mom but as of this past week I’ve totally put that to bed (hehehe) and decided that I will power through and get things done.

Growing up I used to say “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” to a lot of people.

Well it totally has come back to bite me in the ass big time. After becoming a mom being tired is a state of being. I actually just purchased a shirt that says that on it (Because I’m tired).  So because I’m on an organizational spree I decided to share with you all what has been helping me get organized.

*This post contains affiliate links. In plain English, this means that I may receive a small commission (at no cost to you) if you subscribe or purchase something through the links provided. You will never see me post a link to a product or service that I haven’t used myself and love!

TIP # 1: MORNING POW-WOW

Your morning pow-wow with yourself could also be done before bedtime a “bed-wow”? LOL, but getting up in the morning and taking account of all you have to accomplish for the day is important to a successfully planned and organized day. Don’t have a calendar/bullet journal/notebook? GET ONE please. Figure out what’s for dinner (I highly recommend a weekly meal planning chart) Look over your calendar (in my case, my bullet journal, which you can read about here), which takes me to tip #2.

book  TIP # 2: EAT THAT FROG

It’s popular belief that Mark Twain said “Eat a live frog the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.” Although a Frenchman Nicolas Chamfort, is the one who originally coined the phrase; it has been accredited to Mr. Twain, there’s even a book called EAT THAT FROG, (if you want to read it) but no matter who came up with it’s good. I’ve been taking to heart and have been successful at finishing up tasks I was dreading on doing because I totally felt proud after completing them. I was literally getting a star sticker (Adults should get stickers too!)

TIP # 3: TIME MANAGEMENT

I choose my most important task of the day during my sons nap-time. Writing blog posts, replying to important e-mails, phone calls all fall under this category. Give yourself realistic time slots to get things accomplished.

TIP # 4 FOCUS!

I know we have a million and one things to do during the day but by focusing on the tasks we have to do, we manage not to get distracted by the TV, our phones, etc…If you are anything like me, my mind is going at 10 different directions at any given time.

So close those open tabs on your computer if you have to do something online. I find this helpful especially when I am writing a blog post. I find as I’m typing ideas start flowing and I sometimes manage to let my mind start to wander. (I so have tabs open right now, closing in 1-2-3..done). Face the screen of your cellphone down and on silent when you have something important to do, keeps the distractions at bay.

TIP # 5 LABELS, BINS & THINGS

I just purchased some new drawer organizers for my bathroom and kitchen. After putting everything in it’s place; the sheer look of joy on my face should have been worthy of a selfie. If you have things cluttered when you are trying to get things done, you will get side-tracked. If it doesn’t belong anywhere in your home, it needs to go (i.e. Trash/donation). Clutter will get in your way so do yourself a favor and give things a home or a temporary bin for either re-homing or trash.

Pantry, I’m coming to you next. WATCH OUT!

Well, that’s all folks. I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and you got excited about getting organized. It sure helped me even more. I’m fired up to clean my kitchen right now. How about you? What are some of your best organizing tips? Share with me in the comments below. I would love to know what works for you. Incorporating new organizational tips ours lives can only benefit us.

Thank you so much for reading, till next time.

10 Reasons Why I’m loving our New Air Water Dispenser WAT40B – A Review + Giveaway

Hello Lovelies ♥

Have you ever thrown a party and seen so many barely touched water bottles? I have. Way too many times. I’ve been guilty of it too, although it irks me when I see it happening. I’m so thankful I got the New Air water dispenser.  As a mom in charge of everything in the home, buying all the groceries, keeping our bills in check and everything in between is all me.  Having said that, going to the market with a toddler is not my idea of a good time. But I must in order to have food and water.

Before I was approached NewAir I had a discussion with my husband about us getting something to help us control the water waste happening in our home. I wasn’t thinking of a Water dispenser like this. No kidding! And then New Air contacted me about reviewing one of their products. It didn’t take long for me to say yes.  It’s like they read my mind. Yes, I know what you are thinking.. water cooler? Not very attractive right? Wrong!  There’s no huge 5 gallon water jug hanging on top of it. That’s already a plus in my book.

I don’t know about your family but we are water bottle drinkers here, and the amount of water bottles I had to purchase weekly to keep a healthy family that lives off of two types of water, regular and sparkling; my trips to the grocery store were becoming a little too much.

New air Water Dispenser review and giveaway

10 Reasons Why I’m loving the New Air Wat 40B Water Dispenser:

  1. BPA Free
  2. Discreet Water Compartment.
  3. Bottom loading makes it easy to maneuver, unit stand 41 inches high.
  4. Cold is just the right temperature. (39-45°F)
  5. Hot water dispenser, great for tea or coffee, instant noodles and more, plus has a safety feature in case smaller children try to use it. (185°F & Up)
  6. Energy Star approved, provides hot and cold drinking water using less energy
  7. It’s super quiet
  8. Water Waste is practically zero
  9. Takes up very little space
  10. My husband gets to do the heavy lifting in picking up those 5 gallon water jugs up and bringing them home, not me. No more lugging around packs of bottled water from the car to the house.(Although I could, I just don’t want to)

Okay, number 10 is mainly just for me, but you get the point. It’s a great little machine with a sleek design.  I would definitely recommend getting one for your home or office.

Here’s a quick video review:

Head over to New Air’s website to see more, also head over to their Facebook page; it’s filled with great information on this and their other great products.

Interested in buying one for yourself?  You can purchase one for $249.95 here (shipping is free) Feeling lucky? Want a chance to win one of your own? You can enter their giveaway here for a chance to win a water dispenser of your choosing.

Thank you so much for reading!

*Disclaimer: I received this product free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

WOW! Two Year Blog Anniversary and a Giveaway!

Hi There Lovelies ♥

Amazing! I can’t believe I’ve actually been blogging for whole two years!!! Last Friday I was having a conversation with my BFF and the amount of time I’ve been blogging came up and she gave me the statistics on the percentage of bloggers that quit within the first 6 months. I didn’t care to look it up, but I’m sure she’s right.

If you know anything about me, I’m about as flaky as can be. I know flaky sounds like such a horrible thing to be, but I promise it’s only with my own things. I will be excited about something but procrastination sets in and I’m done.  I do tend to work a little better (just a little) when I have a deadline.  I almost always complete things when I absolutely have no other choice. You see my little disclaimers after each of these sentences… just keeping my procrastinator self safe.

I am hoping to change this about myself. I know a lot of us suffer from it, so I know I’m in good company. I started working with a Bullet Journal in the hopes I’ll kick this and some other annoying habits I’ve procured over the years to the curb. I even wrote a blog post about it, which you can read here and I’ll also be writing a lot more about how I’ve incorporated it into my life. So stay tuned for that.

My procrastination is something I am not proud of but I openly talk about.  I have been and tried countless activities and without fail, I end up quitting. Anything from MLM’s different hobbies (If I gave you a list of the things I’ve wanted to do, you’d laugh) those things include soap making, jewelry making, song writing, poetry… Listen, I’m just all over the place.

Having a 2 year anniversary (Blogiversary) in anything is a major accomplishment for me. Thank you to all of you who stuck around. Thanks to those that come back to read each of my blog posts, I also want to thank the haters that try to bring me down, you are just motivation to keep going. Glad you’re here too.

*The following are affiliate links. In plain English, this means that I may receive a small commission (at no cost to you) if you subscribe or purchase something through the links provided. You will never see me post a link to a product or service that I haven’t used myself and love!

To celebrate my little victory I’ll be giving away a $25 gift card to Amazon (totally my favorite place to shop) of course, and I’m totally not kidding. If you’re not a Amazon Prime member, sign up using my affiliate link (Free Trial located on the right sidebar). You’ll be glad you did.  I love free 2 day shipping.

Good luck! May the odds be ever in your favor. (Can you tell I was watching The Hunger Games last night?)
